Plans

Which plan is right for you?

Two ways to run Septem Contrôle: everything on the local server at your plant, or recording at the plant and managing from the cloud. Here is what changes between them, and what happens in each case when something goes off script.

In both plans

Video is recorded and stays at your plant.

The site's local server records it, and the analytics run right there. No plan stores your video in the cloud: what changes is where everything else is managed.

The two plans

Perpetual license · optional annual plan

On-Premises

Everything runs on the plant's local server and nothing goes out to the internet.

  • Video, alarms, users and reports live on a server you own, running Windows or Mac.
  • It does not need internet to work. Nothing leaves the plant.
  • The license is paid once and does not expire. It is bound to that server.
  • The first year of updates is included. After that, the annual plan brings new versions and support. Security patches are always installed, with or without the annual plan.
  • Updates arrive as a package signed by SEPTEM that the administrator applies in one click. If something fails, it rolls back to the previous version on its own.

Who it is for

Plants without reliable internet, isolated networks, government, ports and critical industry, or anyone who prefers to pay once.

Annual subscription

Hybrid Cloud

Records at the plant, managed from the cloud.

  • Each site's local server records the video and runs the analytics at the plant.
  • Only data goes up to the SEPTEM cloud: alarms, events, sensor readings, license and equipment health.
  • Managed from anywhere: every site in one console, with per-site access for each user.
  • Updates apply on their own, in stages, or with the administrator's approval.
  • Without internet it keeps recording, detecting and triggering sirens. When the link returns, everything goes up with its real time.

Who it is for

Companies with several sites, remote or centralized operations, and IT teams that do not want to maintain management servers.

Where each thing lives

Three places, and video in only one.

The path of a signal, from the device that captures it to where it is managed. In On-Premises it ends at the second block.

  1. 01

    Cameras, sensors and doors

Cameras of any brand that speak ONVIF, thermal cameras that measure temperature, PLCs, UPS units and industrial sensors.

  2. 02

    The plant's local server

Records, runs the analytics, triggers sirens and relays, and reads the sensors. Video never leaves it to be stored somewhere else.

  3. 03

    SEPTEM cloud

    Hybrid Cloud only

Alarms, events, readings, license and equipment health. To watch video from outside, the image travels through an encrypted tunnel at that moment and is not stored in the cloud.

What happens if…

The questions that come up before signing.

The internet goes down
On-Premises

It is not affected.

Hybrid Cloud

It keeps operating: it records, detects and triggers sirens. The plant console works with the site PIN. When the link returns, everything goes up with its real time and without duplicates.

A new version is released
On-Premises

With the annual plan: it installs if it was released within the included updates (the first year, plus one year for each annual plan paid).

Hybrid Cloud

Included: it arrives on its own in stages or with approval. If it fails, it rolls back to the previous version on its own.

A security patch is released
On-Premises

Always installed.

Hybrid Cloud

Always installed.

Payments stop
On-Premises

It keeps working: the perpetual license does not switch off, it just stops receiving new versions. Returning to the annual plan does not charge for the missed years.

Hybrid Cloud

There are 30 days to renew. After that, new enrollments and cloud management stop. Video already recorded stays at the plant.

You want to watch video from outside
On-Premises

Inside the plant, or through your company's VPN.

Hybrid Cloud

From anywhere, in a browser, phone or tablet, with per-site access.

You need remote support from SEPTEM
On-Premises

If you authorize it: you turn it on, you can revoke it, and it is logged.

Hybrid Cloud

Included: SEPTEM sees each site's health (online, disk, version, cameras online), never its video or its data.

You have several sites or countries
On-Premises

One per installation.

Hybrid Cloud

A single console. Each user sees only the sites they are authorized for.

You want to know which licenses it takes
In both plans

Both start from the same base license, one per installation: the platform with unlimited users, Natural Search and the mobile app. On top come the camera, asset and other module licenses, depending on what is monitored.

The license is copied to another PC
In both plans

It does not work: the license is bound to its installation. To change hardware, SEPTEM reassigns it.

How to decide

What tips the balance.

Choose On-Premises if…

  • You do not have reliable internet, or the network is isolated.
  • Your policy does not allow data outside the site.
  • You prefer to pay once and decide when to update.
  • It is a single site with its own IT team.

Choose Hybrid Cloud if…

  • You have several sites or countries and want them in one console.
  • You need to see alarms and video from outside.
  • You want automatic updates and SEPTEM watching the health of each site.
  • You prefer an annual payment over an upfront investment.

Still not sure?
