Septem Contrôle builds an industrial platform for video, measurement and asset management. What follows isn't a statement of values: it's the contract clauses and the criteria we use to decide what goes into the product.
No-Hostage Commitment
Seven contractual clauses
Each one exists because it answers a real, documented mechanism in this industry. We name no one: whoever recognises the mechanism already knows what it is, and whoever doesn't still understands what they're being protected from.

Unlimited users, forever. Never a line item per person.
Named-user pricing, which turns every new hire into a renegotiation.

Your data leaves free. Read API, CSV, OPC-UA and MQTT included.
Requiring a licence so that a foreign program can read the customer's own information.

The quota can go DOWN at renewal, and moves between sites and assets within the term.
The clause forbidding any reduction of the contracted volume during the term.

No automatic overage. Going over quota warns you and offers to sell.
Overage charged on its own, day by day, at a rate set in advance.

No blackout. An expired licence freezes new features; it keeps recording and alarming.
The subscription that switches the system off when it lapses. A gas or security system doesn't shut down over an invoice.

Portability. The licence moves between servers and sites of the same customer, self-service.
Licences declared non-transferable, even within the same company.

Public pricing. The list is published and a partner quotes in five minutes.
Price by quotation only, which makes comparison impossible without going through sales.
The fifth is the hardest to hold to and the one that matters most. It's also why a perpetual option exists alongside the subscription.
How we decide what goes in
Four rules that govern the product
They're what we apply when choosing between a feature that demos well and one that survives a year in a plant.

Measured, not estimated
Degrees come from the radiometric sensor and ppm from the detector. If an AI model doesn't measure, it isn't presented as a measurement. That's the line between a reading and a coloured opinion.

Every default cites its standard
No threshold enters the system without the reference behind it. Where no standard applies, the field says so instead of faking authority.

What isn't ready is switched off, not hidden
An incomplete feature shows up marked and disabled, not removed from the menu. An industrial buyer tests exactly what you promised in the first week; if they find the gap themselves, they lose confidence in everything else.

Multi-brand, no mandatory SDK
Open protocol as the base and a purpose-built driver where needed, certified against the real device. The customer's installed fleet isn't hostage to our compatibility list.
What we don't do
Where we aren't the answer
Saying it up front saves a three-month evaluation that was going to end in no.
We don't sell camera hardware and don't require any particular brand. We integrate what's already there, or whatever fits.
We don't replace real-time process control. The platform observes, diagnoses and acts on alarms; a closed control loop is a different tool.
We don't certify regulatory compliance. The system cites the standard, measures against it and leaves the evidence; certification is issued by whoever is accredited to issue it.
Facial recognition is on hold and isn't offered. When it's ready, it will say so here.
